Chocolate is the world's best delicacy, and it is very unlikely that anyone would argue the fact. Most of us consumes chocolate as an antidepressant and for some of us it's a medicine. There's a history behind.
Holland is the birthplace of the chocolate industry. It was first invented in 1828 by very talented chemist Konrad van Houten, who made the number of discoveries that allowed the production of high quality chocolate on a industrial scale. Initially, chocolate was used for glazing confectionery and candies, and furthermore the chocolate production was established in the form in which we are used to it.
This is how they began to produce world's best chocolate, sharpening their skills at each manufacturing process. It is worth to remark that first chocolate was bitter due to high cocoa content. The methodology of producing chocolate was by using a hydraulic press, which also was invented by Konrad van Houten. This is how the industry of chocolate production was born, along with company-giants of today's confectionery market such as, "Cadburry", "Nestle" and etc.
